The Job
To undertake training in light vehicle maintenance and repair. YOU MUST ALREADY BE EMPLOYED WITHIN A MOTOR VEHICLE GARAGE TO COMPLETE THIS TRAINING.

Training
Successful applicants will undertake a three-year programme of education and training, which involves day release one day per week at Anniesland College.

Qualification Achieved
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: light vehicles level 3 - Communication at Intermediate 1, Numeracy at Intermediate 1, ICT at Access 3, Problem Solving at Intermediate 1, Working With Others at Intermediate 1

Wage Scales
At least the National Minimum Wage rate, paid by your employer.

YOU MUST BE CURRENTLY IN EMPLOYMENT WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE GARAGE. It is desirable, but not essential that you have your five core skills. You must be able to pass a basic aptitude test and interview, and you must be between 16 and 19 years of age.
