The Job
Full time employment within one of our 18 nurseries in Scotland. Successful applicant will assist qualified staff in providing a warm, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks - 5 years old.
After successful completion of your 12 week probationary period, you will then start your SVQ programme with the company's own accredited training centre.
Training
You will work full time and will be assigned an assessor from the in-house training company who will visit every 2 - 3 weeks, and conduct observations on practical assignments that you have planned.
You will be required to complete knowledge based projects and written essays that will go towards evidence for your SVQ portfolio.
Training company will offer support and guidance throughout the training programme.

EntryCareer ProgressionPersonal Qualities
Good communication skills and the enthusiasm to work with children.
Standards grades in English and Maths desirable but not essential as applicants will attend a group interview and complete a written exercise with the training company.
You will gain an SVQ Level 2 and 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development which will enable you to be a qualified child care professional. You will be able to work in the private sector, local authority,children's holiday clubs abroad and in the UK.
Progression into management is achievable after 2 years post qualification.
Applicants should have a true desire to want to work with children and have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team and have the intiative to work on their own when required.
Must be flexible and be 100% dedicated to working in a nursery enviroment.
